Browser compression rebuilds PDF pages as optimized images. This is useful for upload-size problems, but selectable text, links, forms, signatures, and other advanced PDF features may not be preserved.
Many application portals set a maximum PDF size of 1 MB. Hitting exactly 1.00 MB can still be risky because a portal may calculate file size differently or reserve a small amount of overhead. This tool therefore aims slightly below the stated ceiling when possible.
